While on my car and opened window, I asked the vendor kung magkano yun papaya and ang sabi 35peso per kilo, then I said pointed a bigger one and told her if it is good. When she check the weight it shows just above 3 kgs and she will give for 100 peso. It's fine give her the money and she wrapped the papaya put in plastic bag. When we passed the Urdaneta huway leading to villasis I have spotted a series of vendors waiving the sugpo on their hands, so I was excited to see the big prawns and stopped at one of them. Ask ko yung lady vendor how much a kilo of sugpo, she replied at 400 a kilo nagbargain ako at sabi ko kung pede 350 per kilo na lang. The lady vendor was nice and agreed but beg to buy the lot so she can go home and feed her family. Nung kiluhin ng babae it comes out around 4kgs and asked her how much is the total. She replied 1,400 peso na lang lahat kasama yun timba lalagyan at may yelo na ring kasama. Sabi ko 1 kil na lang kukunin ko para mabilan ko siya and her friends baka kako di na maayos kainin pagdating sa bulacan. But she kept begging to buy the lot para makauwi na siya, so naawa naman ako ng konti pero sabi ko 1,300 pesos na lang, bargaining went for short period at pumayag din sa presyong 1,300 pesos lahat yun 4kgs sugpo. While we are in the car with my wife they started preparing the cover ng bucket para daw di lumigwak sa sasakyan. it was then good and continue putting cover on the bucket and handed over to us inside the car and my wife gave the money. When we reached Villasis market, we stopped again and buy some garlic, sibuyas, daing na danggit, dried sapsap, pusit at hipon maliit (hibe as we called in bulacan). We got good bargain price and items where wrapped again in plastic bag. The bad things we discovered when we reached our home and prepared the prawns to cook was found out that the prawns they wrapped and gave us is less than 2kgs. I was absolutely disappointed as well as my wife when we found we were cheated. My wife started to unwrapped the dried fish we bought and to a big dismay again to found that the dried shrimps were not included in the wrappings. Again another switch has been made ng tindera. At ang pinakahuling dismaya ay when my wife clean the papaya para ihain for our late lunch finding this papaya is rotten in some part. We were totally hijacked by these pangasinans vendor who looks probinsyano na parang walang alam at puro pala mga manloloko. So, my advise to future traveller to pangasinan and preparing to buy items on these bad vendors to take extra care and check properly what they will buy baka maloko kayo ng mga masasamang tindero ng pangasinan. I am not wondering if pangasinan suffers frequent calamity if their people is having common goal na makaloko ng kapwa.
