I just would like to appeal to you Fr./ Sir to please prevent Jennifer Dacanay from teaching because she is a very inefficient teacher. She's better off as a LIBRARIAN. The space provided is not enough to tell all her KAPALPAKAN as a member of the faculty. Imagine, she is handling three grade levels and yet she can not even explain the subject matter effectively, properly, correctly, you name it. All she can say is " no need to explain, alam nyo na 'yan" The lessons remained unexplained and unlearned, poor pupils of ICCS!

If I recall correctly, he had a younger brother by the name of Crispin. I believe Arnulfo was salutatorian of the class. Dr. Ruben Gonzales was the valedictorian. Both of them were quiet, well-mannered, humble and very smart. ICHS should be very proud.

You seem to be a very nice guy for being so concerned about the future generations. But let me add a few hints that what is taught in school is just part of how your future will be. Most of it comes from descipline, upbringing and how you control yourself in any circumstances. I agree with the common adage that "birds of the same feather flock together". But in every rule there's an exception. If you go by such saying, I am pretty sure that you'll consider me as a person of despicable reputation if you judge me by my friends and family. Through all my student life, in high school and college, I was associated with heavy drinkers, smokers and womanizers. Did I acquire any of such amoral vices or affect my social standing? No. I had a boring and tedious teenage life but I don't regret because now I'm reaping the benefits of my deeds as a young and ambitious boy. And in college, I resided in a dormitory that had almost all sport facilities, keeping me away from vicious activities. As for Gays, they are almost in every part of society. They are in sports and politics, and they are excellent participants. Don't you know that the most succesful class reunion in ICHS history is led by one? And the opening night of the town fiesta? Thus, don't underestimate the intelligence of the gay people. As long as they don't push their homosexuality to others, I believe it's okay. It's how you accept their ways that matters.

This is in response to your email regarding the presence of GAYS in the school's staff. This is not to refute your opinion. And I am not siding the school or those involved. However, your remark about the principal is distasteful for personifying him. Wish you had mentioned something milder in order not to hurt anyone's feeling. The principal has been with the school for quite some time. He must be doing a good job that's why he is still there. As for the presence of the Gays as instructor, it is not their fault to be in there. Besides, it is not their choice to be what they are. It's willed from above. Like you and I, they are humans and deserve to earn a decent living. As long as they possess the right credentials, they should not be descriminated. I beleive that the school has the policy of granting equal opportunity to all regardless of sex. Is being gay inborn or derived from outside source? If it's the latter, then I agree that the school aadministraton should be more wary and employ the more able alumni to be in the school's teaching force. I respect your opinion. Hope you do mine. I don't think their is enough money to fund that project. :) Just my thoughts or say suggestion/s :) and I don't think another fund raising project just for this "stage makeover" is much needed since fund raising is quite so frequent. ;)

To: Manny Buado I admire you for being direct and candid. We need more people like you for a better celebration in the future. Being the first,hope it will serve as a lesson that a more aggressive prepapration is vital in staging a big event. It is evident that the organizers need more experience. The event has been planned for almost a year yet how did they overlook the souvenir program? That (program) is the best source of revenue so more time and effort should have been put into it. Poor communication was also factor. A lot of alumni are not aware and were not contacted at all; thus lackadaisical attitude existed especially from those old and succesful alumni from overseas. The pen is mightier than the sword so a simple letter should have worked to make everybody feel important and be a part of the festivities. No one even the fools, wants to be taken for granted. CONGRATULATIONS AND FELICITATIONS to All who made the ICCS/ICHS 60th Anniversary GAHR a success. I wish I should have attended the Post Reunion meeting to throw some of my comments and suggestions, but that was the day that our BATCH '75 had planned an EXCLUSIVE GET-AWAY Batch Reunion for a more intense bonding, yet that was also my last week of getting ready for our flight back to Toronto, Canada. KUDOS to All who made this event a memorable one. Thanks to the Organizers,to all Allumni and all Balikbayans who have participated and help in any form, monetary, physically, and any other form of contibution or services that was pooled together that makes the Event a success. Especial mention to Brother Arne Sarmiento who is very tangible in his ways to cover the event, to mayor Eldred Tumbocon and wife Camilla, Brother Elijah Casayuran,Mr. Villanueva, Marilou Baniqued, MC's Harriet, Rod, Dino,Clemen and Madam Anita Columbres,to Mr. jorge Necessito our Adviser, Father Sol Felix and to all Batches coordinators. Above all to the main AUTHOR of our event our "GOD". JUST FOR A ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT AND SUGGESTION, yet we can not just be elated by GOOD COMMENTS, WE should have planned way ahead and earlier, YET the execution of some particular programs/events are obvious results of RUSH Planning. WE should have taken off those star studded speeches and so much recognition during the first night. We should have maximized the VALUE COST of the CARANTO Band to enjoy their Music and more dances and more Fun. We should have set those speeches and recognition aside for another time or we should have inserted that "BY SEGMENTS" towards the two day event. The First night should have set the tone, that is why I noticed the second night was not as exciting anymore, lots of people were discouraged the way the first night was done. I am just curious about how we did for the FUN RAISING PART/ the BINGO and the RAFFLE DRAW. I noticed PRIZES seems so PRICY and TOO MANY, it may not have meet the real PURPOSE of raising fund. Next time Pre-planning, Focused and pro-active implementation of Individual program and event Coordinators/In-charge of different work assigned should have created a better symphony of MEGA EVENT. Please don't tagged me to be a Contradictor, I am just opting my OPINION for a better REUNION in the future. AS I RE-ITERATE once more, I truly like and enjoy the REUNION itself, IT IS OVERALL A ROUSING SUCCESS. The Comments I have stated could be a BLIND SPOT that we have to consider for future planning. Hello to All... Just came from vacation dropped by in Singapore for a City Tour, 6 January 2009 and returned back in the morning 07 January 2009 at 8:25 pm in Dubai-UAE. I have attended the 60th Foundation Anniversary and GAHR conducted last December 6-9, 2008 in ICCS (ICHS) Umingan, Pangasinan. It was really a very EXCITING and UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE...Wherein most of the Alumnus came from other places local and abroad, I've also met Sir Jorge Necesito, Sir Laureo Suitos, Manang Anita Columbres-Suter, Manang Marilou Baniqued-Dorsch, Kuya Manny Buado, Pastor Elias D. Casayuran, our GAHR Chairman Eldred P. Tumbocon, Mam Eliezer Sibayan and Ms. Rowena Aquino-Byrne and some our fellow Alumni from various Batches, of course my Batch 1978 also. Thanks to Rowena Byrnes for posting those 60th Anniversary pictures. I am thrilled to see the gargantuan task done by the organizers. It was marvelous. Unfortunately, I did not recognize any from the 50's except ex- NPC chief Eddie Fernandez. I wanted to see some of my colleagues. Perhaps there aren't wheel chairs for them. Is the statue of the Virgin Mary that stands behind the stage the original one? If so, that makes me glad that it is still there. It was donated by our (junior) class in 1954-55. Also, the stage reminds me of the time and effort we put in in search of rocks and soil to fill up the space. The shining moments during those old days? They are unforgettable. Wish I was there during the festivities. I doubt if there will be another one within my lifetime. Anyhow, I will continue to be a loyal alumnus and I hope that there will be more nice things to come.

To: The Committee-ICHS 60th Anniversary I submitted a picture of our 1955 basketball team for a page in the souvenir program. Also, through my initiative, a list of contributors to the building fund raised in 2003 was mailed for another page. Inspite of these, I was told that I am not entitled to receive a copy of the program.I am not on the list of prospective recipient. I abide by that decision because perhaps there are requirements that I failed to satisfy. But what are they? Do I have to render a special task or belong to an elite group in order to acquire such highly priced treasure? I graduated more than half a century ago yet my loyalty has never subsided. I am very supportive to all of the school's undertakings including scholarships in the past and I was one of the driving forces in the collection of funds for the new building. Where did I go wrong that I don't even deserve a simple thing as a token of appreciation? I don't feel bad but it surely dampens my enthusiasm. Lastly but not the least, my congratulations to all for a succesful celebration..
