Thank you From: Gloria Oriel Pl MessageI just got back from Chicago, attended the Handmaids of the Lord (HOLD)convention. What a spirit-filled experience! Now I could organize my observations, thoughts, and feelings about the reunion at SD. First, I would like to thank all the beautiful people of SD, who hosted this "Fantabulous" Reunion. Everybody enjoyed the gatherings. I applaud you for your efforts and sacrifices. You're great! A joyous reunion with our brother, Oscar, who came all the way from the Phil. just to attend the festivities to be his comrades: "The Lucky 9". No matter how "Machos" they are, they cried when they met and cried again when they parted, said goodbye to one another. They stayed together all the time qat the home of Joe De Vera, one of the "Luckies", and bonded amazingly, helping Joe with all his responsibilities and duties. What a nice feeling to see all the classmates and "Kababayans" whom we have not seen for quite sometime! We met our "love thy neighbors" from Tayug, the Garces brothers: Eddie, Nelson, and Danny. We sorely miss Marlene and Ray. God bless them. We love meeting our friends for life. It's not only because our late parents were best friends when they were here with us, we are also best friends forever. You know who you are. We thank Fando and Bella for your hospitality. So glad to see you enjoyed th lobsters from Boston. Tahnk you Fred and Norma for the reunion at your houswe with the Lopezes, Oriels, and Panggas, though brief but fruitful. We thank you, Joe and Sally, for your hospitality. We thank Roger and Vennie forthe enjoyable dinner at their beautiful home, after the picnic. We were so happy to see our "Cabaguis" Edgar De Dios. We even met our good friends from Irvine, who came to see us instead of us going to them, just to save the time. We thank our our cousin, Christy and husband Anthony, who drove from LA to see the 4 of us. Thankyou for the Roderos siblings, very nice to see all of you. Sorry, we missed your party. We cannot thank enough our cousin Mng Peggy and Kuya Donar for a comfortable hotel-like stay in their beautiful home. We enjoyed the accommodation, double occupany, multiple bathrooms, breakfast, lunches, and dinners. We are ever grateful to Beth Daus for her patience driving mus to our destinationa and back. After the reunion, we went to Newport Beach to visit with Derick and family, Virgie's son. A happy reunion also, intheir beautiful home, meeting their very athletic and talented boys, Matthew and Patrick. They have grown so big after 8 yrs. Derick brought us to the fantastic restaurants. Thank you to our niece, Cynthia, who drove us back to SD, gave us a complimentary stay overnight at the Westin Hotel to be closer to the Airport for our trip back home. I hope I did not miss thanking anybody. A very pleasant surprise coming home to Boston, our assignments to be in the entourage "To meet and greet theHon. VP Jejomar Binay" was awaiting for us. Oscar, who came to Boston with us to visit our Bro. Paulino, Jr. (Leobing), was flattered meet the VP face to face, whom mhe can't meet in the PI. What an enjoyable experience! Thanks God,we are all safe, happy, and healthy. Next Viva Las Vegas, we are coming! they were here with us From: Randy Boy MessageKamusta insan ada ak ti message board yo. Good Job, ladies and Gents. We enjoyed the fun, cheerished every moment and they memories of bonding with friends, classmates and relatives will be remembered for a long time. Thanks to Fernando & Bella for inviting us over for lunch. To our deareast friends Fred Ebreo & Norma , thank you for they many luncheons at your cozy home with Norma's good cooking & Fred's entertainment & humorous class act, their companionship always makes our day happy and contented. The best for last is our wonderful host Roger Bumatay & Vennie for accommodating us for such a long time in their beautiful home. Their hospitality is over and beyond. Every day there is always something cooking at their warm kitchen by Roger, & Vinnie's sweet baking give spice to everything, adding few pounds with us going home.Last but not the least thanks to Rene Mamenta & Ninfa our new recruit with Fabulous-10, now F-12 for taking Totoy's job as the official driver in our rented van during our travel in CA and Las Vegas.Leave the driving to Rene & you make Totoy a happy man.Rene , we don't know what to do without you bebs.Hectic as it was we always find time enjoying our endless stories at the end of the day some of us are half asleep, big laughters & food network cooking lessons at the Bumatay 5 star hotel. We call that big time bonding. Hope to do it again in the near future while we can still walk straight and standing tall.Manong Arsing & Manang Lilia, sorry for not being able to make it to your lunch invitation. We got so many invitations for lunch at the same day and at the same time and our time was just limited .Camie and Elizabeth we missed you after you left. you two are cool and game.We bonded pretty well.God Bless From: Fred MessageClick on "2011 Tayuguenian Grand Reunion... in San Diego" on top of this page to see Rigodon de Honor by the "Tayug Got Talent" dancers. From: Honeyjoy Doza MessageThe very idea of a reunion is to be reunited with friends and families whose company we have missed all through these years. The amazing part is, regardless of places we have been and whose culture we have adapted, regardless of the number of years being apart, when we finally met again, it was the same all over. The reunion was an overwhelming experience and worth remembering. Thank you to the organizers for a job greatly done; thank you for friends coming from the Philippines like Mel and Chola Torio,Oscar Oriel and Larry Lu. Manny Marquez too! Thank you to our hosts Amado and Minerva Sim, DeGuzman brothers, the Bibay couple. There are so many to say thanks to, not necessarily in order of their importance. Special mention goes to Erli Byrd, Boy Songco and Glenn Salazar for making this event so special if only for their company. Thank you all for a very happy memory, and believe me, it's not gonna be "fleeting"! From: Ed Garces MessageIf you missed the San Diego Reunion, you missed big time! It was a blast. We talked, we partied, we laughed non-stop, we ate, we danced, and most of all we took thousands of pictures! You should know by now that Pinoys are absolutely picture-maniacs - all 386 attendees. Here's my share: http://garcesmaui.blogspot.com/2011/08/san-diego-grand-reunion_19.html Next year will be in Vegas. Did I say Vegas? Yes it will be bigger, much bigger than last week's reunion. It's an amazing feeling meeting friends, relatives, neighbors, and townmates you have not seen in 30+ years. Picture this, Mr Roger Bumatay sweating the size of corn kernels running down his forehead, while tending the B-B-Q pit. PRICELESS !!!! TAYUG Thanks You SIR !!! From: Aimee Manaois MessageI'd like to extend my sincerest thanks for the invitation of Eddie Pangga to the August, 2011 TNHS Reunion in San Diego, CA. Although I wasn't able to join the school reunion for all graduates of the TNHS, I am glad that I was able to get in touch few of my school mates and was able to chat in fb and talk on the phone and how they are doing for almost 30+ years of their whereabouts. I am so excited to learn where my teacher Mrs. Bumatay was for all these years and glad to hear she's in that occasion. I felt so bad that I wasn't able to attend but hopefully will join in Las Vegas in two years. Now that I am connected with the website in facebook, I can always know where and what my schoolmates are and fast enough to communicate with them. Thanks a million Eddie for your great help. It's been amazing to know you thru fb. Sincerely, Aimee R. Manaois-El Hamiri TMHS Graduate 1970 From: Eddie Pangga MessageIt was a really big success and it's all due to the tireless efforts of the organizers. We express our thanks to Bella and Fernando Marinas, Vennie and Roger Bumatay and of course, Tony and Norma Ebreo for inviting us to their homes. There's a lot of invites and a lot of would-be-hosts but there's not too much time to spread around. We thank you all, anyway, for we know the sincerity of your intentions. And for the organizers, it was a job well done! Congratulations and we will be seeing you all in Las Vegas in 2 years time. From: Fred and Susan MessageOn the VAN with Fernan. I have enjoyed the opportunity of catching up with classmates that we have not been in contact with since last reunion and other townmates that we have not seen in years. We only wish we had more time to spend re-acquainting. There never seems to be enough time and there are so many wonderful stories to share. I know that putting together is an enormous task, often thankless and second guessed. You and your fellow committee members did an amazing job. Every part of it was wonderful. We can't think of anything we would have done differently. We know you truly gave your all to making it a success. And you succeeded! Thank you so much for all of your hard work.
