I remember the debates I had with Josefino, the 'tula' contest I had with Betty Rescober, and the happy high school days I had with Connie Benitez. Good day! This is Marj delos Santos from Tarece San Carlos City, Pangasinan. I added our school as one of the beneficiaries for the www.pangasinan.org BACKACK PROJECT and it is for this intention that i posted this e-mail. The Back ack project was posted way back on January 2007 and right now, we already have 3 generous donors namely MR. ROGELIO MONDALA of Infanta, Mangatarem(10bags),MS.JUVILY ACOSTA ANCHETA (20 bags), MR. MARRK mof MANAOG (10bags). We also got a pledge from Mrs. & Mrs. Rolly & Delia Bona of Poblacion Burgos (4 bags) and Pangasinan Society of Calgary c/o Narlo T. Serquiña / Leopoldo Mendoza (70 bags) I would like to seek for your assistance in the said project. A backpack would cost $5 and we would really appreciate if you can share your blessings or make a little sacrifice to contribute to meet the target. A skipped snack amounting to $5 will make one pupil happy for the rest of his life , after all, it will not really hurt to give out at least $5 for a meaningful project. Our school, Tarece Elementary School covers students from 4 Barangays ( Quezon-Boquig, Tarece, Bega & Manandag-Cabelew) and majority of the pupils are children of farmers. When i visited San CArlos last December, i saw that poverty is still in the place, pupils use "plastic/sando" bags as an alternate for a decent school bag. I believe they really need it especially during the start of school year (June to August) which is a rainy season. I hope that you can help us meet the targeted date of delivery. We all know how life is in the Philippines that is why we have strive hard to make to something more fulfilled. BUT Do it right! This is to all those families who in one way or another knows a man or a woman who is into illegal business specifically those who kill people in exchange of money. These are desperate times to call and act to all people of San Carlos about this and report whatever you know to proper authorities before it is too late and it might happened to one of your love one's too. Others kill for hatredness in their heart. Others for a reason. Others just because of plain money. BUT WHATEVER THE REASON IS; KILLING a LIFE IS NOT RIGHT! Confrontations and misundestanding often comes to us. Conflicts and betrayals; enemies are being dealt with what you know is good for them but it is not the right thing to do. Didnt you know that there is a God? That someday; YOU will have to face HIM and when that time comes; are you ready to FACE HIM. HELL is true! And there is nothing in the world you can do about that! People die for a purpose and a cause but dying in a wrong way must not be acceptable! We have sayings that "talagang ganyan ang buhay", "pag pinanganak ka sa karahasan, sa karahasan ka rin magbabalik", "lintik lang ang walang ganti". THESE words inpersonize a unCHRISTian like characters! Philippines have been left behind already and it is not a fact but already the truth but the people must pursue righteousness in works and attitudes to uplift us. Help yourselves before you can help others! NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT! PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR CITY AND FUTURE LEADERS! LET US BE ONE!
