I notice Mayor Homobono Sawit Jr is assisting his town in Pura. I ask what is our wonderful Mayor Revita doing to assist his community probaly nothing I suspect.I suspect he is still glowing in his glory of the new SM, the new computer & recently purchased car for the local police. He needs to protect residents on real issues instead of side issues like SM, computers etc. Has he asked help from the Governor of Pangasinan I ask. "The amount of P6 is very low compared to the P80 per square meter paid to lot owners in Concepcion, Tarlac, in the case of the SCTEX," said Pura town Mayor Homobono Sawit Jr. Sawit has asked the help of the provincial government led by Tarlac Gov. Victor Yap to ensure that affected farmers will not be at the losing end of the negotiations on the right-of-way issue over the TPLEX project.

I notice many people are getting excited about the benefits of the new Expressway from Tarlac > Pangasinan > Rosario La Union, without any real discussion or thought being given to the 400 odd families who will lose there land which is being compulsorily acquired from the historically dubious DPWH. It saddens me in this country how many people in important positions treat the rich differently to our poor working farmers in Tarlac and Pangasinan. Typically many people in political office forget the poor & care for the rich as it’s easier to do this. Aquino in Tarlac received 80 Peso per sqm for her acquired land. I observe farmers in Tarlac and Pangasinan will only be receiving 6 Peso per sqm for there acquired property, which is disgraceful. I would like to know what Mayor Revita along with the other Mayors & Governors of Pangasinan & Tarlac will be doing to ensure farmers get the same deal as the Aquino’s did in Tarlac. I pray farmers will get the same deal as the ex-president did or better. I hope Mayor Revita can inform how farmers/families are going to be fairly compensated for this ‘land grab’ which obviously has huge economic benefits to the region. God Bless.

Hi Rebel. It sounds like you sympathise more with business profits than the community interest. I accept business requires profits BUT the Mayor and his Councillors have been very negligent in providing basic infrastructure to the rural areas. The municipality seems to be more interested in servicing Rosales and neglecting the basic minimum services to the provinces. Its wrong. The Mayor prides himself in funding a simple police car & is high on self promotion.Wow big deal.I suggest money should be spent on funding basic communication infrastructure too assist schools/education in the provinces particularly on the Acop to San Luis road, which is not remote as you suggest. The children in these areas are being neglected compared to provincial centres. Stop the politicking and do something.I disagree with your comments that 'its not as simple as that as you suggest'. Its easy. Where theres a will..theres a way.

Leo, installation of telephone lines or system in the remote areas is not easy as you think. It's the telephone company that serves the municipality who determines the viability of the project. First consideration is the number of prospect users.Since this is a business, it must earn some money by having plenty of customers. How many in your barrio do you think can afford to have telephone servisce? Do you think many people can afford to pay the monthly dues for such service? Think! It's not just thinking of having the telephone but the ability of the people to pay. Do you understand now? It's as simple as that. The mayor has nothing to do with it. Hay naku, this is the reason why the Philippines is not moving forward, there are many people who lack logical thinking.

I would like to know when our beloved Mayor is going to install a telephone line and cable along the Acop to San Luis road. Its a disgrace that our children in the barangays are being left behind in the technological advancements & that people in remote areas are being forgotton. Everybody is praying for the Mayor like he is the Messiah but please look outside of Rosales and care for the forgotten Barangays on basic infrastructure. This will assist children at school too.

Dear Fellow Alumni of RNHS, We have been receiving clamors for a real GRAND REUNION for all graduates of the Rosales National(Municipal) High School and we are challenged by the enthusiasm of the many graduates who have shown their interests. With this development, we, graduates of 1968 would like to spearhead this project and work for the realization of the big dream. We haven't had one in the past and we think it's about time that we shall initiate to have it done. We envisioned to hold this in 2009, the month of which shall be in accordance with the desires of the majority. We, therefore, the batch of 1968, would like to entertain your reactions by sending us( e-mail addresses of some of our pointmen will be provided soon)your thoughts and opinions about this initiative. Years covered will be from the start of the high school operation ( I don't even know when) till 2003. We will post the mechanics as soon as we get your positive responses. Let's all start the ball rolling!

Manong, i am currently residing here in San Francisco,CA. I came here 1996. Actually my mom is here also and my sister and they're going to PI this March. By the way how's San Luis, it's been almost 6 years now since my last vacation. Thank you for responding and nice to know you, long lost barrio mate?

If you knew Linda Rulloda, Carling Caliboso Tadeo, Boy CAliboso, Lauro Caliboso (my father- already passed away ) Maria Caliboso(already Passed away), they are my family. If I remember right, you must be the daughter of Manong Cito GArcia. I remember Tatang Peter who used to take care the big cow/bull. If you graduated in San Luis High, I may have left for Hawaii then. I left for Hawaii in 1970. My family live just across the San Luis Primary School behind Manong Ebiong's house. I just came back from San Luis on February 19, 2007. I was there for almost two weeks. Are you here in the States? What State? Nice to chat with you. Keep in touch and say Hi! to your family.

To Sprakalboom: You do not have to be nasty. Perhaps others have not gone to the site yet. It took me a while to discover that there is a web site for Pangasinan, particularly Rosales and especially San Luis High School. This is a great achievement for everybody. A chance to communicate to other people worldwide. You should be thankful that somebody donated their time, energy and money for this. You can post your comments but be careful of your language. LOL
