NPAs TORCH 5 BUSES IN LINGAYEN.... SUSPECTED New People’s Army guerillas, rebuffed in their revolutionary tax collecting drive, burned five buses of Victory Liner in Lingayen, Pangasinan.... Chief Supt. Luizon Ticman, Ilocos Region police director, said they are verifying if those involved in the Lingayen incident are really NPAs. He said the bus-burning also resulted in injuries to six of the eight patrolling policemen who engaged the perpetrators after they chanced on them pouring gasoline on the buses parked at Avenida street in the town proper shortly before midnight.... Ticman said the heavily armed suspects disarmed a lone security guard before torching the buses. Witness accounts said police scored several hits before the suspected rebels could flee on board two vans.... Ticman identified the wounded policemen as PO3s Daniel Sison and Alex de Guzman, PO2 Reynaldo Domalanta, and PO1s Armeno Abarabar, Herman Camba and Ramon Valencerina, who are now confined at the Region 1 Medical Hospital in Dagupan City.... A bus conductor identified as Villamor Miano who was sleeping in one of the buses burned, suffered second-degree burns.... Last May 22, 10 armed men who identified themselves as NPAs also raided the Victory Liner garage in Cubao, Quezon City and burned three buses. Police are also looking at labor dispute as a motive for the incidents.

These treasures are so valuable that all the money in the world can’t buy them - treasures of peace, joy, strength, love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. These are treasures that have eternal value. They are gifts from heaven for the children of the Most High God. And in the natural, you wouldn’t just take something of extreme value and throw it in the closet or leave it in the garage. No, you would guard and protect those treasures. You would carefully display them. In the same way, we need to guard the gifts God has given us. We need to display that forgiveness to others. We need to show off that love, grace and mercy that the Father has given us.
