I took up Bachleor of Industrial Technology from this institution., I really hate the students here! they keep on criticizing the BIT students as if they r too, intelligent! eew., I'm proud to be a BIT student, Ive seen students graduated from this institution tried to apply in call center industry! haha., para silang tanga! they felt nervous why as they enterd in an english speaking zone! unfurtuantely, they fail the initial scrrening! Psu student! never understimate nor criticize ur fellow students! if you think they learn nothing! it;s not their fault! it's the faculty staffs failure not to teach their students very well!

LINGAYEN–The Pangasinan State University (PSU) has been named one of the six participating institutions in the Call Center project to be undertaken by state universities and colleges in the entire country. PSU President Victoriano Estira said the Call Center project, set up in three phases, will be set up at the Lingayen campus. Phase 1 involves the development of a state of the art call center facility that can accommodate 30 seats, expandable to 50; Phase 2 will focus on the training of potential call center agents; and Phase 3 will dwell on the evaluation of the outputs of the university grantees. Estira said the call center will serve as an incubation facility for people behind small and medium enterprises who may want to venture in business process outsourcing and may try out the viability of commercial operation in Pangasinan. It also provides an avenue for technology transfer and job creation for local job seekers, especially those who graduated from the university. The other five grantees are Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Technological University of the Philippines, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Tarlac State University and Laguna Polytechnic State University. Ten other state colleges and universities from the Visayas and Mindanao will be selected as the project progresses. Lawyer Willy Tanagon, project consultant of the Business Process Outsourcing Incubation Contact Center Project Monitoring Office of the Commission on Higher Education, said during the recent orientation workshop for the recruitment of trainees for the call center training services here, said the annual requirement for call center agents in different call centers nationwide is 150,000 and not all slots could be filled up. PSU is now accepting applicants who are of legal age, conversant in English, willing to work in a night shift and outside Pangasinan and is willing to be trained for one month with free meal and transportation allowance during the training. Competent trainees may be employed in PSU Call Center and other call centers nationwide. Interested job hunters may submit their resume at the office of the dean of any of the PSU campuses located in Lingayen, Binmaley, Bayambang, Urdaneta, Asingan, Sta. WATCH YOUR BACK DR. ESTIRA - PANGASINAN State University, the only government-run higher education institution in the province, is celebrating its 28 glorious and fruitful years on July 20....Naturally, this is a big day for PSU which has a strong network of eight campuses in the towns of Bayambang, Binmaley, Infanta, Lingayen, Sta. Maria, Asingan and in the cities of San Carlos and Urdaneta....As PSU observes its 14th Biennial celebration, it also welcomes “officially” its fifth president in the person of Dr. Victoriano Estira....As I write this piece, the turn-over of the mantle of responsibility will be made by outgoing President, Dr. Rodolfo Asanion to the new PSU president....Asanion’s administration, which lasted eight years, or a total of two terms, was marked with both success and intrigues, which even reached media criticisms and exposes plus rallies....But Asanion, a tough man, was not distracted, and proved to all he has a clean conscience. Maybe, he was not friendly to everybody, that’s why some waged a hate campaign against him. Or maybe some guys were really out to destroy him but failed in their attempt.... Now, his protege, Dr. Estira, who rose from the ranks and a homegrown PSU man, having devoted more than 20 long years of dedicated service to the university, and already a vice president during Asanion’s term, fortunately triumphed over two other contenders for the coveted position in a tight competition which Estira won by a single vote (6-5) during the PSU Board of Regents election held last June 15 at the Commission on Higher Education office in Manila....Naturally, with Estira’s assumption, Asanion’s detractors will not stop until they achieve their selfish motives....Asanion’s enemies have become Estira’s foes, too. While Estira may be a totally different president, these “unfriendly forces” are bent on carrying out their mission and have in fact started with their black propaganda against him.... Can’t you guys give Dr. Estira a little more time, or a honeymoon period, and allow him to prove his worth first before you criticize him?....Estira said he has learned a lot from Asanion’s administration and vowed to be more accessible and more transparent in his dealings, especially with the media.
