THE INFANTANIANS OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP: Congratulations Class of 2010 Graduates - Maricel Masmela and Estesiery Nicolas! We're all proud of you. Fely Mayo, (Class of 2009) graduated cum laude and is now teaching in Nayom. Again, we are happy to have the opportunity to help our young people. Applications are now being accepted for the Infantanians of Northern California Scholarship. This scholarship was established to assist deserving high school graduates in Infanta pursue college education at the Pangasinan State University (PSU), Infanta Campus. Through this scholarship the Infantanians of Northern California endeavors to make its vision of an educated as well as civic-minded citizenry a reality. Several awardees of this scholarship have already graduated from PSU and have already embarked on their chosen careers. Eligibility Requirements. An applicant must: • be a graduate of any high school in Infanta; • have a grade point average (GPA) of at least “B” or equivalent; • possess good moral character and show potential and motivation to succeed; • participate in volunteer community service activities; and • if needed as tie-breaker, demonstrate financial need. Application. Application will be considered complete when all of the following materials have been submitted: • Current high school transcript of records. • Completed application (attached). • One-page personal statement. Excerpt of Greg Echon's March 15, 2010 letter: "We’ve been talking about this for some time – the REUNION of Infantanians living or working abroad. Will it finally happen? Well, with everybody’s help and attendance, YES, it’s going to happen now! ... we’ll try to announce this event and invite as many townmates as we can, even our townmates in Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific region and everywhere as long as we have their e-mail addresses or telephone numbers. ... At least, WE NOW GOT THE BALL ROLLING. ... if we’re going to be successful in holding this event this time , we can hold it in our hometown next time,... So, to start the ball rolling, here are the things we’ve done: (1) We have already reserved a place to hold our reunion on SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 2011 and it’s going to be at the TAHITI VILLAGE BALLROOM in LAS VEGAS ... (7200 Las Vegas Boulevard South)...It’s going to be a HAWAIIAN-THEMED function – the place, our attire and our food will all be Hawaiian.
