O bago kayo mag word wrestling, here's my two cents, if it's even worth that. I haven't heard of any California school that closed because of this virus. In fact, not even when menangitis broke out, I did not hear of any schools that closed here in California. Grizzly Academy which is in my county and a mere eight miles from where I work had seven cases and they did not close the school. And this academy is a military school which houses their students 24/7. They sent anyone suspected or showing signs of the virus home. Those who couldn't go home were quarantined in one building with limited staff supervision. ___ It's interesting how school officials in the Philippines are working the logistics of closing down schools because of this virus, yet they would not postpone school openings for disaster ridden schools from typhoon Emong. Classes are being held in makeshift tents amid this rainy season exposing the children to the elements. Do you think they have a better chance of getting a flu from being rained on or sitting in germ-ridden desks?

The poster below is very much educated.Of course some virologists are warning against general panic but preventive measures must be implemented .Closing schools generally is not favored nor recommended by the WHO(Stofkholm).But in my opinion collective infection in one school is an indication.Near my city a japanese School(Düsseldorf) of 560 pupils is closed after children of the 6th grade were collectively infected with N1H1.If your family had been a fatal victim of flu like mine,you will understand that preventive measures such as vaccination and quarantine/isolation is necessary.Since then I get my immunization every year,it is for free.Vaccination has saved milions of peoples lives,has put diseases such as poliomyelitis a.a.,diptheria etc.to halt.That is a fact.Prevention is better than cure.And because vaccination agaist swine-flu is not yet found other preventive measures are inevitable,in my opinion.Just think of the 27,700 infections in 74 countries, 141 death statistics to this day of writing.It is indeed fact that vaccination is not indicated after the infection;it is not for curative purpose but preventive.

We believe that Filipinos are so gifted with the spirit of being so cordial to people esecially to strangers that's why we are known for being so hospitable. However, this site is not that picture. People here are so hungry for attention. They are showboating pretending to be really generous but in spirit, in the inside, this is absent. So many theory about the dynamics of personality have agreed at what we miss when we were children, we try to compensate such in adult life, especially when we become successful in one or anotthe aspect of life. Howver, failure to recognize and accept what's been lacking, pretence.. yes pretence can lead one to emptiness always no matter how he/she compensate. THis site is of pretensious people, I have witnessed that eversince here and banning people telling the truth they cannot stand is their oly option. When they banned Wings here, they banned the whole city, even one half of the Philippines.. What a shame... such was an acceptance that you can't bring in samething good here... what's good for you is only for the limited you, those who conform " mga balimbing at tando tando" lang ang kaya nyo. My goodness, you are not the picture of what we would like to see here... I also came across this site around 5 or 6 years ago which was mentioned by a friend. Never stopped visiting it ever since. There is no site like it..it is fuelled not by commercial ads or online stores but by honest to goodness care for townmates who would like to get in touch or who would like to search for long lost friends. It is a Lonely hearts Club, a Missing Persons Bureau, a place to tell jokes and cute one-liners. It is no place to sell anything except CARE for other people. For me, it is a place where I recharge myself and to get in touch with friends who are OUT THERE..Thanks again and do visit the Asingan Board. That's my regular hang out!

The house of course is in Tayug..Never been there. According to Sue ( who was there very recently ) she said "it is a mansion." She also said Dahman and Dahlady are very nice and delightfully hospitable persons. She met Osang there, had a blast, danced, ( that's up her alley )and at the end of the perfect day, Fernand and Bella brought her and her son back to Baguio City. If you look back at the history of Pangasinan, the eastern part, from let's say Rosales to San Nicolas, was first populated with people from the Ilocos.
