Thank you to Bennie Pedroso Ware for hosting the multitude. Foods was ambrosial & lavished - lechon yummy. Fruits & home made desserts - luscious. "SALAMAT." See you folks in Chicago. The San Diego in Coronado Beach, the Las Vegas - hosted by Ching Estacio Caprio (Thank you), the Mexican Riviera Cruise, and Alcala/Anulid reunion was a remarkable - super success, no doubt the Chicago throng will be the same - enjoying, terrific, and noteworthy. Magalona, Class 71 MessageWe are not cynics nor skeptics. We are realists! Our philosophy as a group has and will always be - "We give everybody a chance to screw up. No exceptions." To us, it is not important for the world to know what we do to help those who are willing to be helped. That is all we ask - "willing to be helped." How we determine such is only for us to know. It is not important for others outside of us to know. When we terminate an assistance program, we cut it off cleanly; turn around; and wall away like nothing happened. All we ask if at all possible is for the program recipient to fully understand the reason why we terminate a program as it is always the recipient shortcomings as oppose to us terminating programs unitarily. We operate like a Texas Oilman. We also frequently partner with other individuals and groups on various assitance programs. When we do, we will ask questions informally from various resources to satisfy our appetite for information before we commit. We do not, as a group policy, keep all information we gather private. And to end this long winded discussions that is going nowhere, please allow me to repeat out philosophy - "We give everybody a chance to screw up." Good luck, Sir.
From: DOMINGO L. LAUD Messageallow me to clarify too mam of certain issues you have addressed which I consider are out of proportions. education here is government funded thus students are not constrained to pay tuition fees which is the simple essence of free basic education. the funds you have mentioned coming from the government are all obligated for personal savings (PS)and maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE). these do not cover full financial backings for academic programs (student leadership, scouting, campus journalism, library, computer program, equipment, laboratory stuffs, others)thus the need to address with the PTCA approval of collecting school fees. your premise of "government funded" means not that school operation is totally funded by the government. the P185 national fees collection goes back to government institutions they are intended for and never to defray school operation expenses. Its our P125 PTCA Fees that serve as our lifeblood. It covers Student Government Org. Fee, Campus Journalism Fee and the like. This would mean that CPPNHS is not in control of collecting PTCA Fees. Simply, if said fee is not settled there will be no scuh thing as The Bamboo, Boy Scouts, Student Leadership Trainings, Library Books, Computers, Classrooms and related facilities. I shall vow in the middle of your doubts mam that there is such a thing as proper auditing and accounting of fees with our leadership. and with this i shall seek your support. please help me keep our school next to home. if you may have bitter experiences before, is it not the appropriate time now to say yes we can make change possible mam? failures of yesteryears shall rationally serve as our reasons for change. please help us.
From: DOMINGO L. LAUD MessageI need to appreciate your efforts mam for extending assistance in your own noble way. I cant blame you either for concluding that all Juan dela Cruz are the same. Thats one difficult thing that we need to transform, prejudging other persons humble efforts to fail because of the tradition of failures you have encountered. You may be partly right saying it will all lead in vain. But i need to say there are other good Christians out there we have already communicated this program and we received remarkable feedbacks. I am well-convinced that no matter how faithful we aim to break prevailing social ills, doubtfuls and skeptics will somehow obstruct our way. But we will not be cowed by such efforts because we believe big brothers out there are unconditionally willing to embrace our cause knowing that the community will benefit from this, particularly our students. If you may have experienced disasters before, hope you'll consider the fact mam that I was never a part of that misdeed. And if ever you perceive that this program is bound to the recycle bin, you just made us more stronger to solidify our program and prove that we mean business, that in education there is no such thing as business enterprise, but purely selfless service. You may visit our school mam to find out that through our leadership,we really walk our talk. Im so thankful mam that your giving us points to ponder. From:
Sonia Magalona MessageYou just dug yourself a deeper hole with "how shall we finance our undertakings aimed at promoting students competitiveness if we have no funds available". We all know that these are fully funded by the government. As such, the question is - Where is all these goverment funds?!. By the way, there is no such thing as "rest assured that proper auditing and accounting of school fees" in the Philippines in general and in CPPNHS in particular. It does not exist! We donors have been through this "rest assured" crap several times before. I strongly suggest you establish some credibility somewhere other than PTCA. I for one will not course a penny through that organization. I tried bypassing this bureaucracy and going directly to the scholars themslves and to say that I am disappointed is the understatement of the year! I cannot even get a single information about the scholars. I don't even know if they are still at school let alone their grades. So frankly my dear, when I say I don't give a damn anymore, I am not alone. You can count on it!
From: domingo l. laud Messagepayment of ptca fees and other school fees are indeed voluntary as prescribed for by existing DepED policies related to non-collection of school fees. however, looking at the various academic and related programs that our school needs to undertake, we are reminded of the need to pay for it. for how shall we finance our undertakings aimed at promoting students competitiveness if we have no funds available for that matter. it must be understood that all school fees were duly approved by the PTCA General Assembly. rest assured that proper auditing and accounting of school fees will always be observed. as regards to defined amounts, national fees-185 and approved PTCA fees 125. hope this will enlighten us a bit mam. please inform other good samaritans out there to help us spread the gospel of scholarship

Sonia Magalona MessageCorrect me if I am wrong but isn't joining the PTCA on a voluntary basis? So how would such "Miscellaneous and PTCA Fees" be considered a noble cause as to be labeled "Adopt-A-Scholar Program"? It looks dubious?
From: DOMINGO L. LAUD MessageThis serves as a humble avenue for me being the newly assigned Officer-in-Charge of our institution to establish and seek the needed link with all Officers and Members of our Alumni Association, not just to manifest where we are now as an institution but foremost to share with you our aspirations and purposes in a bold attempt to transform into more meaninghful terms our services. As a sort of profiling, I am a member of Batch 86 and prior to promotion as school principal, I served at CPPNHS as a Teacher/Master Teacher for the past 15 years. Modesty aside, after besting the Qualifying Exam for the Principalship in the Region, I was promoted as Principal of Baguinay NHS then months later assigned as OIC Principal of Manaoag NHS. Thanks to Mayor Manuel Collado for endorsing me to our Superintendent as immediate replacement of Mrs. Parayno after her retirement last month. Our primordial concern now is providing assistance to our poor but deserving students, thus the Adopt-A-Scholar Program was conceived. As the project implies, it aims to seek voluntary sponsors from among our Alumni to at least sponsor one student enrolled at CPPNHS by simply paying their Miscellaneous and PTCA Fees for the school year amounting to P310. Our initial target for the coming school year is 100 students. All incoming honor students in the first year shall be the immediate beneficiaries to encourage parents sending their children to school and likewise multiply our population. If in case the number of sponsors will exceed the initial plan, then we shall divide equally to the number of curriculum years. The scheme of payment would either be by grading period (P77.50), monthly June-March (P31.00) or upon enrollment (P310.00).Rest assured that everything will be properly issued an Official Receipt as requirement for auditing and accounting of which we would like to systematize too. We will appreciate very much if this noble program will merit your attention. Other concerns will be addressed in a more opportune time. Thank you so much for the anticipated favorable response. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: C71 MessageIN FAIRNESS to us C71, kailanga malaman nila ang complete story NAMAN. From: Messagei From: Myrna MessageTo Tesa Agustin: If you are referring to the Longest Barbeque Grill there will never be a closure because that was an event that people will not forget. The main purpose of the event was to reunite every Alcalenian. I personally worked hard with this project although some of my sponsors did not pay and I paid for some of them. I had never complaint, my greatest consolation was to see these people very happy. What I noticed with some people is that the one that did not do anything isuda pay ti tattat nga tattat. No kunada koma ket kastoy, Sapay koma ta dagitay taga abroad ke ag organize da manen ti Longest barbeque ta ag fiesta tayo manen siguro nagpintas nga denggen. From: Myrna MessageYes, I read your question loud an clear. Can Alcala afford to send 25 employees to Hongkong? This is more of a conclusion you already assumed that Alcala paid for the 25 employees. From: MessageThe group who went to Hongkong deserved a break for working hard. Kung kaya ng Alcala sagutin gastusin nila, address your question to the Office of the Mayor not the bulletin board. Not if you get offended sa sagot ko, sorry po pero I don't see any wrong kasi if you inquire lang, I do ask din lang. Read my message again.
From: tesa_agustin MessageI think there should be closure. Once and for all address the issue and move on . In any event/organization things like this come up. Then somebody should stand up and answer questions .Its normal. The only difference is the tone and the venue. Maybe somebody would like to post here who and where to post their concerns. Have anice day

From: Myrna MessageExactly! I agree with manang...DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER it is. Saan kayo unay a nadursok nga agsarsarita dayta saludsod yo makapatay. QUOTE: where is the money? imbulsa? It does not need a genius or even a calculator to figure out the expenses of said affair. The grill was from San Pedro Ili all the way to San Vicente as I recalled. Everything was provided from thousands of grills to thousands of charcoals to thousands of meat and bangus etc. and did you care to asked if everybody that sponsored a grill paid for their grills? baka inabunuan pay ti kurang na. The longest barbeque grill in 2006 has brought happines to thousands of people in Alcala last 2006 I want to keep that nice event as a good memory for Alcala. It was a joint effort of Alcalenians all over abroad. I think we all worked hard on it and in fairness to Mr. Agdeppa (manong Dante) as you called him that event has never existed without his persistent. Isu iti nangi rugi. All that matters is that it has materialized and for all I heard, everybody had a good time! From: Myrna MessageAs far as I am concern the people that I know that went to Hongkong paid for their trip. We must appreciate the Mayor for doing this for no other mayors has done this before. This time the Barrangay heads as well as the school heads went. Last time were the councilors and if I am not mistaken, I heard that they used their earned vacation leave. THEY ALL DESERVED IT AND THEY NEEDED A BREAK. Please do not make any conclusions ask the mayor directly if you have doubts I am sure he got nothing to hide. I have never seen Alcala improved as much as it is improved now. We should appreciate our leaders. And by the way, I heard some couples were sharing lunch so they can save some money for their shopping. IF YOU WERE TRAVELING FOR FREE would you share lunch? Name: tesa_javier MessageThis is the latest news Ms Anneli sent me about a great accomplishment of one of the HRA alumni and currently the President of our very own HRA Alumni Association . Cheers for Atty. Velasco. just wanted to apprise you of the latest news about our association - Has anyone informed you that our dear President of HRAAAAI is the latest Presidential appointee to the Commission on Elections Board of Commissioners? Effective last week ay Commissioner na po ng COMELEC si Director Armando C. Velasco!!! This makes a total of 5 Commissioners na ang existing filled up na slot of the 7. But he is the only one who rose from the ranks kaya talagang most deserving siya at alam kung paano ang operations ng opisina nila. Despite his rise, however, napakasimple pa rin niya. In fact kanina lang nagtxt lang sa akin asking the contact no. of the Bishop of Urdaneta.

Name: Concerned MessageFriends, I am asking everyone to think with me in inspiring SOME people of Alcala to move and make use of their time in profitable ways, like maybe planting in their backyards, flowering plants, vegetables, fruit bearing trees. I remember my tatay, when I was just 4 years old, getting up in the early morning to fish in the river. (I know- River is dried up) I remember the papayas, bananas, opo, mango, chesa, guava, star apple, guayabano in that small backyard that we have and still have. I remember the typhoon season when almost all of the saba are down because of the strong winds and storms. We had fun eating the boiled bananas prepared in various ways. I remember, my brother and I used to eat bananas that my tatay covered with acacia leaves to ripen them and finding later that almost all of it are gone because 2 little monkeys have been consuming it bits at a time. (that's me and my brother.) Last time I went home, the soil was so hard and dry, never cultivated, never watered down. My observation last time I visited was that people love to commune, chatting almost all day long, or playing tung-it. My childhood years were wonderful ones and I bet you, you too have stories to tell. A PRIZE may encourage some to get up, move and plant. Prizes are to be distributed during the town fiesta, furthermore, we are helping people to be healthy, wealthy and wise. Come on folks, ENGAGE.

EV MessageI do not consider myself, matalino neither maganda, in the sense that people think. But we are made in Gods' image, if God says we are, then who am I to say otherwise. The Lord made us unique. He is pleased with His creation, including you and I, HE LOVES US THE WAY WE ARE, SAINTS OR SINNERS. My friend, I do not think or say things like these before I was born in spirit. I know that He guides me in everyway. Tell you what, don't be imnpress with ganda, it's temporary. Wisdon is what we need, it guides us every step of the way. The bible says, Search first the kingdom of GOd and his righteousness and all this things will come to us, material but most of all spiritual. Sorry, I just got carried away.

Name: To whatever MessageGive yourself a rest my friend. I care. Name: ev MessageBy the way, the reason of the Boston Tea Party was a rebellion to King George of England because of the imposition of high taxes. Name: To
Hindu or otherwise MessageYou may label me a Christian, I love that and I am proud of it. Why are you hurt, I am just stating my belief and so can you. I'll read it. Somebody said I am dumb because of my inadequacy in American History, I am a Filipino remember? Please, I do not claim to be a historian, I know bits and pieces of AmericanHistory. I know too about the Mayflower that carried the Puritans (Christian to America because of religious persecution and of course to find a better place for their family. I too, remember the Boston Tea Party, where the people rebelled to King George of England by dumping the cargo of tea intothe sea. Call me narrow minded, yes I am, in this world, there's just two basic choices the truth and the lie, the good and the bad, the moral and the immoral. I hope you are with me in this. For ethics and morality comes from God without it, the world is in chaos. Why are people so hostile to God? They only go to him when they are in trouble. God is good and in your heart you know that he is. Name: Message"our Alcala website"?! ... When did this happen? Did I miss anything? Name: MessagePlease go to the message board. There is a discussion corner where you can profounf your beliefs with all your time without disturbing our Alcala website. Name: To EV MessageI am a Hindu; and for all of us who has a different belief from yours and who you call as Atheists, we have an advice for you. We Atheist don't label others because of their belief. We respect their beliefs. We did not go to college but we are educated not to look down at people because they believe differently from ours. ... It is not smart for you to convince people to believe what you believe in so they too can go to heaven, or hell, because it is likely with the way you have been acting lately that one of them will take your place in Heaven. ... And you still end up un Hell!
Name: To our Readers & my friend the Atheist MessageGood night, we'll continue our exchange tomorrow. Would you please use pleasant words? We can disagree without throwing insults to each other. It is more enjoyable, don't you think? THINK NICE, as my granddaughter says, it's good for your body. Good night and enjoy your family for God loves you and so do I. Name: To Atheist MessageI will not call you names for you have a name and I respect that. With the tone in your messages, who do you think is going to hell? Let the readers make up their minds. Atheist is not your name, it is your title-unbeliever, so don't use that as a comeback. If only I could convince one of our readers to read the bible, it's worth my time, even with your insults, I'll take it. You do not expect me to quit for you are no better than I am. You are losing your ground, believe me, you are. Name: To EV MessageOne other thing ..."a group of the brightest, the wisest, the most moral persons in the early years of America". Read American history. Apparently you have no idea who the founding fathers are? Do you know these are wealthy colonist who no longer want to pay taxes to the Queen? They revolted against the Monarchy. Don't try to bullshit me with whatever misinformation you may have. You are so narrow minded. AND IT SHOWS! Name: MessageThere you go again ... labeling me an Atheist. Again, stop this foolishness. You are digging yourself a deeper hole. You are showing yourself. You said, "... constitution are guided by the BIBLE." Really?! Have you heard of the phrase "separation of church and state". If you want to live like Filipinos, go back to the Philippines where the Church or so called "Churches" reign supreme. ... I do not hink your God have accepted you for being so dumb and ... stupid enough to tell lies and mentioning His Name in vain. You will go to Hell. Name: To Atheist MessageFYI, there are already many Chinese and Middle Eastern Christians, and strong believers too. You believe what you want to believe but that is a fact. They are hiding because they are being persecuted. Why do you think America is a Christian nation? These are Christians that were persecuted looking for a safe haven. America was founded on Christian belief, the founding fathers in writing the constitution are guided by the BIBLE. These are a group of the brightest, the wisest, the most moral persons in the early years of America. Don't tell me you are better than the collective minds of these great men. So my friend, do not threatened me, I have God on my side, what do you have? You? One thing more, you believe and your mind is limited only to the natural,of course I understand that you do not comprehend the supernatural for you are spiritually dead. Name: To EV MessageYou must be kidding me! I strongly suggest that you stop this foolishness before you dig yourself a deeper hole. How in hell will America so blessed because we as Americans have easy access to the Bible compared to those in China and countries in the Middle East? Now think before you label someone like me with a mustard seed. China is predominantly Toaist and Buddist. They do not have any use for the Bible. As for the countries in the Middle East, they are Muslims. It's the Koran that they read. ... And yeah, don't tell us China and those who do not read the Bible are far behind you and M.H. in cultural upbringing just because you read the Bible. For your information, China is culturally much much more advanced centuries before the Christians first appeared her on earth. The earth is not 7000 years old. Here's something that you may not know. God was invented by man to explain those that can not be explained by common knowledge. On the same token, Filipinos are like God because ... Filipinos, like you and M.H., do things that are beyond explanation. Your unintelligible reaction and M.H.'s are incomprehensible to say the very least! Name: EV Message"Tigil-tigilan and kagaguhan", I think that's what you said, whoever you are. I hate to say, that you maybe the smartest and the wisest one in the secular world but really, I feel sorry for you. FYI, The Lord chooses the fool to confound (embarrass) the wise. Is it because of ones ignorance in the things of God that upsets some? America is so blessed, access to the bible is easy, not China and some Middle Eastern Countries, where bibles are prohibited. Start reading the bible, you might change your mind and hopefully you will be convicted of your past mistakes, you will be happier too, guaranteed! If only your belief is, as the size of a mustard seed, you're in.
