Being the Pioneer of Catholic Education in this part of of Diocese, it is our hope and we keep praying that the HOLY ROOD ACADEMY could rise up from its current state - meaning dwindling number of enrollees and the less-than ideal facilities and faculty. And the HRAAAAI succeeded in bringing to the attention of the Diocese the state of the school!!Because as Alumni we can only do so much, whereas them, the school is their responsibility, property and ministry. We then help them via D 3T'S- TIME, TALENT, TREASURE. So we need to put up funds to do our projects - we built the fence (was it 30-span, I forgot already, it had been a long time) at the back of the school, we donated chairs, and most recently, we made the major REPAIR OF THE 4-CLASSROOM BUILDING at the eastern side of the campus. Unfortunately, we have not finished this anymore for LACK OF FUNDS, MEANING, NO MORE FUNDS AVAILABLE! TIME AND TALENT - well, it was not easy sourcing these funds - so we conducted fund-raising activites, remember our 'Dinner and Ballroom for a Cause', the 'Search for Mr. & Ms. HRA', 'Raffle' and solicitations, too. Likewise, the conduct of 'HRA Nights' to rekindle in us our spirit of altruism towards our school, our souvenir program, too. Looking back, Ading ko, honestly, we are sooooo tired. But I was telling our other friends, they may not have the treasure or so much talent, yet, TIME may come in the form of ADVERTISEMENT or convincing neighbors and other friends to enroll their kids to the HRA. Likewise, the existing adjacent two (2) classrooms which served as 'bodega' for sometime have also been refurbished, repainted and restored to complement the new structures. These were undertaken by the Diocese of Urdaneta, and in particular, the Superintendent of Diocesan Schools, THE MOST REVEREND BISHOP JACINTO A. JOSE D.D. NUMERIANO GABOT, a native of Binalonan. His last assignment was as Parish Priest of Tayug. Please be informed, too, that effective this School Year 2010-2011, the HRA will be directly under the management and supervision of the School Superintendent, REV. FR. PARONI, who will take charge of all the parochial schools within the Diocese. Even hiring of teachers will be centralized. This means that the Parish Priest ceases to be the Director of the School.
