A letter from Stan Velasco, President of BCHS Alumni Association USA |
|
August 15, 2009, has been designated as the 1st Grand Homecoming of the BCHS Alumni Association of the U.S. I would like to take this opportunity to invite all BCHS Alumni in the U.S. and Canada to this memorable event. By choice or convenience, some of you may be affiliated with other BCHS alumni associations. Regardless of affiliation, all BCHS alumni are welcome and will greatly appreciate your attendance.
Although the BCHS Alumni Association of the U.S. was founded in 1985, this will be the first opportunity to have such a Grand gathering. Before then, much of the members’ time had undoubtedly been preoccupied with raising a family and/or nurturing each one’s professional endeavor. Since our times in BHCS, many of us have been separated from our peers by great distances and/or for so many years. It is time for a Grand Homecoming. This will be a great opportunity for us to rekindle the camaraderie and friendship we have had with our former classmates and old friends. It will also be an opportune time for reconciliation of differences and of forming new friendships.
We should be grateful and always be mindful that we became what we are today because of our solid educational and moral foundation as product of BCHS. It is therefore incumbent upon each of us, as members of the BCHS Alumni, to uphold the good name of our Alma Mater. And, the best to show that is by unity, friendship and cooperation. Let’s get together and have fun!
Your humble servant,
Stan Velasco (’62) President BCHS Alumni Association of the U.S. |
